The SPW682-131 is a single cartridge mechanical seal with integral vortex breakers in the gland plate and external segmented and floating restriction bush. The seal is designed in compliance with API682 seal specification, as employed in the Oil & gas sector.
The innovative stationary seal design is offered as a complete cartridge mechanical seal solution and is designed for API Plan31 arrangements on API610 V8 onwards process pumps.
Design Features include;
- Flush orifice for Plan 31 systems. Important: The flush orifice does not 'shot blast' the stationary seal face when used with process liquids containing suspended particles.
- Quench and Drain orifices for Plan 62 or 52. Steam/buffer fluid is directed to the inboard faces via an integral deflector built into the seal gland.
- Large Seal port orifices - 1/2" NPT.
- Gland plate with integral vortex breakers
- Radial clearances between rotary and stationary components conforming to the best practice requirements of API682.
- Monolithic seal faces for improved high temperature performance
- Stationary seal design with self-aligning stationary seal face. ideal for high speed applications,
- Multi-spring design with springs out of the process fluid.
- Unique double outboard restriction bush arrangement; Segmented bush and Floating restriction bush combo for outstanding performance.
- Used in conjunction with the Reliability seals Plan 31 Cyclone Separator system and Sample collection pot.
